New Start

It feels fantastic, knowing that I do not have to go to class anymore, but it would feel a lot better if I had a full-time job lined up! I will be liquidating a bunch of stocks tomorrow, I'm calling a market top! Not really, I will save the market calls for the weak, I happen to need cash to pay off a few credit cards and to help put a down payment on a new car.

Now that I have finished school, I will be trading differently. No more bets on earnings, no more speculative biotech stocks that will rip off my arms, and no more buying a stock because I'm bored--- I actually did this kind of stuff.

I no longer consider myself a beginner, now that I have 3 to 4 years of experience trading stocks as well as a college degree under my belt. I want to trade smarter, have a well organized plan, focus more on not losing money rather than making it. Don't get me wrong, I will still take risks, just not riverboat gaming risks.

In the last weeks of the month, I will be putting together a new strategy, liquidating a portion of my portfolio, and taking some time off. June 2007 will mark the start of a new beginning for me. I plan to keep a detailed report of my trades and an accurate measure of my performance. Enjoy the journey with me.

There was somebody in the Market Wizards series that said that quote, but it was worded a tad better.
